HUGH HEFNER

The Hefner commission in Los Angeles (1979-1982) was a project that showcased Kiebdaj's proficiency with figure. The project includes more than fifty different poses of the female nude and thousands of feet of ornamental carvings such as typical oak leaf clusters, grape leaf motifs, and many forms of the acanthus leaf. The project also includes numerous carvings of animal and mythical figures.

Hugh Hefner was an American magazine publisher and entrepreneur who founded Playboy magazine in 1953. The magazine's articles and imagery helped shape the 1960s sexual revolution.
